The story of the first meeting between Shinhwa member Jun Jin and his wife Ryu Yi-seo has been shared, drawing attention to the couple's differing perspectives.
On the 8th, Jun Jin and Ryu Yi-seo appeared on Jang Young-ran's YouTube channel and spoke about everything from their first meeting to plans for a second child.
That day Jun Jin opened up about his first meeting with Ryu Yi-seo, saying, "I thought I would never get married again, and when a junior was getting married I went to receive the wedding invitation. His sister-in-law's close older sister said she was nearby, so I told her to just come without any ulterior motive," he said.
Jun Jin said he fell in love at first sight the moment Ryu Yi-seo appeared. He recalled, "She opened the door and entered in slow motion, radiant, with a halo and wings. I found out her contact and asked to see her, and when we met she poured cider and my hands trembled. I was embarrassed so I drank soju, but I was still nervous."
By contrast, Ryu Yi-seo recalled their first meeting with a completely different account. She said she did not even realize he was interested in her before their first meeting.
Ryu Yi-seo said, "He kept contacting me, so I thought, 'He wants to be introduced to my junior,'" she lamented. Ryu Yi-seo worked as a flight attendant for Asiana Airlines before marriage, so she thought Jun Jin wanted to meet her juniors.
Ryu Yi-seo recalled Jun Jin's actions, saying, "I thought he would like someone who seems very young, and at the time I was 35. Since I was older, I couldn't imagine he would like me, so I felt bad. He kept asking when we could meet and said he would come in front of the airport."
She continued, "So I thought he really wanted to be introduced to someone and planned to go out with my junior. But when he said I didn't have to come with my junior, I wondered, 'What is this?' and when I met him and saw him trembling, I realized."
Ryu Yi-seo said she was attracted to Jun Jin's macho side, saying, "I like people who are good at exercising and have a tough-guy vibe. He wasn't calculating, and watching Jun Jin take initiative made me feel attracted to him."
Meanwhile, Jun Jin and Ryu Yi-seo became a married couple after holding their wedding in September 2020. Ryu Yi-seo, who had worked as a flight attendant, resigned after marriage and currently works as an influencer. The two later appeared on SBS variety show Dongsang-i-mong 2 - You Are My Destiny and revealed their sweet newlywed life.
