Tomorrow, the new SBS Friday-Saturday drama Would You Merry Me, which premieres on the 10th (Fri) at 9:50 p.m., is a 90-day fake newlywed period that is sweet, brutal and centers on two men and women fighting to win a top-tier newlywed home prize.
Jung So-min plays the role of Yoomeri, a struggling designer, who asks Kim Woo-joo (played by Choi Woo-shik), who shares the same name as her ex-fiancé, to be her fake husband. Yoomeri, who combines a lovely charm with vivid realism, will offer viewers both empathy and laughter through Jung So-min's three-dimensional performance. This work also holds great significance as Jung So-min's return to SBS drama about 15 years after the 2010 SBS drama Bad Guy. Jung So-min said, "The set where the actors' chemistry was especially fun. Would You Merry Me, which we filmed so hard, finally arrives tomorrow. Please give it lots of interest," urging viewers to watch the premiere.
Having established herself as a "rom-com goddess" through various works such as Love Next Door, 30 Days and Hansan: Rising Dragon, Jung So-min once again promises another defining role by portraying a lovable but pitiable realistic character delicately and sincerely in Would You Merry Me.
Having drawn both empathy and laughter in previous rom-coms, attention is focused on what new charms Jung So-min will show in Would You Merry Me, which premieres tomorrow (the 10th), and on his continued success as an established "rom-com signature actor."
