The Murky Stream, Disney+'s first original historical series, released preview stills for episode 6 that hint at tension between Rowoon and Park Seo-ham.
The released episode 6 preview still captures attention with Park Seo-ham holding a knife to Rowoon's throat on a dark night.
Because the previous episode revealed the backstory of Jang Si-yul (Rowoon) and Jeong Cheon (Park Seo-ham), who grew up together from childhood and think of each other as if they were brothers, the sharp confrontation shown in this preview still amplifies curiosity about what on earth happened to the two people.
In particular, the eyes that had looked at each other warmly and tearily upon reuniting are nowhere to be seen, and the two people's atmosphere, filled only with fierce tension, makes viewers hold their breath. Jeong Cheon attacking Jang Si-yul while shouting "Did you run away just to act like a thug?" adds interest to the 180-degree changed relationship between the two, as betrayal and disappointment in a long-time friend drip from his expression.
In addition, in episode 5, Jang Si-yul had tried to change the thugs' injustice by saying to Mu-deok (Park Ji-hwan), who had become the thumb, "Let's get along and live well together," and now he looks at Jeong Cheon with a complicated expression, making viewers more eager to see whether their friendship will hold or instead crack.
On Oct. 3 (Fri), after episodes 1 through 5 were released, The Murky Stream has enjoyed high topicality day after day and dominated the Chuseok holiday. With episodes 6 and 7 scheduled for release on Oct. 10 (Fri), at the tail end of the holiday, viewers' interest is growing and the show's popularity is expected to continue.
