Actor Kim Hee-ae once again proved her presence with timeless elegance.
Kim Hee-ae served as a host alongside Yoo Jae-suk on MBC variety show "Hangout with Yoo?"s "80s Seoul Song Festival," which aired over two weeks on Sept. 27 and Oct. 4, showing qualities befitting a classic iKON that spans generations. Kim Hee-ae's appearance, reminiscent of her days as an MC on 1980s music programs, offered viewers a perfect time slip.
In part one she added elegance with a purple two-piece that highlighted a classic voluminous silhouette. In the following part two she took the stage in a black mini dress with abundant ruffle details. The retro styling, with careful attention to hair, makeup and accessories, revealed the dignity of a classic iKON that does not change over time.
Kim Hee-ae was especially sincere about styling details. To preserve the distinctive hair volume of the 1980s, she continued preparing with hair rollers on from before rehearsal, personally attending to even the smallest details to raise the level of completion. Beyond a simple retro recreation, she captured the era's sensibility, adding cultural significance that connects generations.
Her competence as a host also shone. Kim Hee-ae naturally led the stage with her characteristically steady speech and tempo. She not only coordinated smoothly with the cast but also elevated the atmosphere with warm reactions.
