Cheerleader Kim Yeon-jeong posted a long message about her feelings ahead of her December wedding to Hanwha Eagles baseball player Ha Ju-seok, and the groom-to-be Ha Ju-seok expressed his affection by leaving a comment himself.
On the 7th, Kim Yeon-jeong posted a lengthy message on her personal social media, saying, "Because the news was suddenly revealed and I thought many of you might be very surprised, I left this post after much deliberation."
Earlier reports said Kim Yeon-jeong is preparing to marry Hanwha Eagles player Ha Ju-seok on Dec. 6. According to the YouTube channel "Baseball chief," Ha Ju-seok and Kim Yeon-jeong had been dating for about five years.
The channel said, "In Ha Ju-seok's words, 'She helped me when I was at my lowest. She really helped me when I had caused trouble and wasn't seeing people.'" During the five years the two dated, Ha Ju-seok faced a drunk-driving incident and controversies over his character.
The wedding announcement was originally planned to be made through Kim Yeon-jeong's YouTube channel, but it was derailed when MBC commentator Jeong Min-chul mentioned it during a live broadcast. The channel said, "The news had already spread around the baseball world."
Regarding this, Kim Yeon-jeong said, "As reported in the articles, I have found someone precious who promised to be with me for the rest of my life. We cherish each other and are happily dating, so I would appreciate your warm support."
She added, "Thanks to the fans who have always supported me, supported the cheering me, and have been a great help both in the stadium and outside, I have been able to continue working here with a smile."
She said, "I will not forget the love and support you have always given me, and I will repay you with a bright and healthy appearance going forward," and asked, "Please continue to watch over me as always, and I will also cheer even harder for the Hanwha Eagles to win the Korea Series this season and become a cheerleader who gives you strength with an even better performance."
A day after Kim Yeon-jeong's post, on the 8th, Ha Ju-seok directly responded. He left a comment on her heartfelt post saying, "Always thank you, I love you♥."
Meanwhile, Ha Ju-seok joined the Hanwha Eagles as the first overall pick in the first round of the 2012 rookie draft.
