The girl group NewJeans' "Hype Boy" was named one of the best songs of the 21st century by U.S. music magazine Rolling Stone.
On the 8th (local time), Rolling Stone announced "The 250 Greatest Songs of the 21st Century So Far," and "Hype Boy" ranked 206th.
Rolling Stone described "Hype Boy" as a song that "expresses youth culture and the excitement of unrequited love with contagious charm." It added, "'Hype Boy' combines a fresh, modern sound with retro sensibilities," and noted, "The five members harmonize beautifully while each showcases a distinctive voice within a running time of less than three minutes."
