"Stars' Top Recipe at Fun-Staurant" Lee Chan-won's college years will be revealed.
The Oct. 10 broadcast of KBS 2TV "Stars' Top Recipe at Fun-Staurant" (hereafter "Fun-Staurant"/directed by Yoon Byung-il) will reveal Chan-tto chef Lee Chan-won's "youth support project" prepared for juniors in their 20s who are living fiercely. In the process, attention is drawn to the revelation of Lee Chan-won's college days, when he boasted an exceptional affinity with people.
In the VCR revealed that day, Lee Chan-won appeared outdoors. With an excited expression he said, "I don't know how long it's been," which piqued the curiosity of the "Fun-Staurant" cast. It turned out that this place was Yeungnam University, Lee Chan-won's alma mater where he nurtured his dream before becoming a trot singer. Lee Chan-won said, "This is a place that contains my 20s and youth intact," and was filled with happy emotions.
Photos and videos of Lee Chan-won from his college days were then revealed on screen. In past photos, Lee Chan-won drew attention by appearing as an MC on stage. In fact, Lee Chan-won not only sang but also took on MC duties at various on-campus festivals and events for his hosting ability, to the point he was called "Yeungnam University's Yoo Jae-seok." When his glamorous activity history, including serving as vice president of a college student council, was revealed, the "Fun-Staurant" cast unanimously exclaimed, "Chan-won really lived hard." Meanwhile, Lee Chan-won closed his eyes tightly and laughed, saying about the photos being revealed one after another, "Where are these photos coming from that even I don't know about?"
Recalling his college years, Lee Chan-won said, "I really worked a lot of part-time jobs. Convenience store, tutoring, pub, Korean buffet, fish cake factory, loading and unloading parcels, logistics center… I did more than 20." He recalled, "I, in my 20s, really lived diligently." Even while living so busily at the time, the dream of becoming a trot singer occupied the biggest place in Lee Chan-won's heart. He also recalled a period of hardship like many college students, struggling with an uncertain future.
That day Lee Chan-won prepared a special gift to encourage juniors from his alma mater who are living fiercely with many worries. What kind of gift it will be, and whether it will be a meaningful time to hear the real stories of 20-somethings living in 2025 with the wonderful senior Lee Chan-won can be seen on KBS 2TV "Stars' Top Recipe at Fun-Staurant" on Oct. 10.
