Even Defconn of 'I Am Solo' threw up his hands. Lee Yi-kyung and Song Hae-na clicked their tongues. The power of the third season of divorced singles was tremendous.
On the 8th episode of SBS variety show 'I Am SOLO - I Am Solo' (hereafter 'I Am Solo'), marking the third day, amid Hyun-sook's two-combo breakup and Yeong-sook and Jeong-sook's firming feelings toward Yeong-su, scenes showed female contestants mercilessly falling for Yeong-su's inexplicable energy and charm.
In the women's second-priority date, Yeong-su was chosen by Hyun-sook, Ok-soon and Yeong-ja. Yeong-su was all smiles. As on the first day, his energy remained high, and he skillfully escorted the female contestants while bringing corkage-use sake.
Ok-soon joked at Hyun-sook's beautiful posture, "Unni, you're sultry today?" and Hyun-sook flashed a loving smile, saying, "Tell me what sultry means? I'm a cat." The reserved Yeong-ja couldn't get a single audio word out until they reached the restaurant. The talk between Ok-soon, Hyun-sook and Yeong-ho was like a nonstop, spitting rally.
Hyun-sook boldly took the seat next to Yeong-ho and did not stop flirting, leaning on Yeong-ho's shoulder and pressing her arm against his back. Defconn assessed, "Compared to season 24's Ok-soon, it's Stone Age flavor. It tastes like chopping with a stone axe." However, Hyun-sook did not consider Yeong-ho her first choice. Also, although it was approaching the third day, Yeong-ho was still unsure whom to place as his first priority. Ok-soon eliminated Yeong-su because she disliked seeing her boyfriend or husband being familiar with other women, and Yeong-ja also calmly pushed Yeong-su away.
Hyun-sook suddenly attempted a conversation with Sang-cheol, whom she had most on her mind. Raising three children and mainly working in real estate, Hyun-sook caught attention with her lively appearance but drew notice by bursting into tears during her introduction. Hyun-sook said, "I told you. Run away. From the start I thought Sang-cheol was impossible. There's no answer. So tell me clearly whether you want me to wait or you're just thinking more," pinpointing Sang-cheol's muddled feelings and having him sort it out himself.
Also, Hyun-sook told Yeong-su her dating impressions, saying, "While we were talking earlier I felt like if we met we'd end up breaking up," and Yeong-ho readily accepted his stubborn decision not to start something that wouldn't work.
But Jeong-sook, who had her eye on Yeong-su, was angry the whole time. Jeong-sook said, "As soon as Hyun-sook came, she told Yeong-su to have a conversation. I got kind of pissed off," expressing her misunderstanding. She thought the conversation in which Hyun-sook told Yeong-su she had sorted out her feelings was actually a talk made because Hyun-sook had separate interest. On top of that, Yeong-sook went on a date with Gwang-su, drank alcohol she usually can't drink and ended up being taken to the emergency room. Yeong-su cluelessly asked, "Anyone want a highball?" which stunned Yeong-sook.
However, Yeong-sook was chosen by Yeong-su in the men's second-priority date shown in next week's preview, and she launched an all-out offense while asking about her impressions of the date with Hyun-sook. This made Jeong-sook even angrier. Jeong-sook bluntly said at the drinking table, "If Yeong-su named me second, I'd have been XX pissed off."
Eventually, when the female contestants gathered, Jeong-sook declared she would give up on Yeong-su, saying, "If this isn't sorted by tomorrow, leave." Yeong-sook also asked, "Do you want Yeong-su?" foreshadowing a fierce fight over Yeong-su.
Defconn said, "Yeong-sook leaned toward the bewitching man Yeong-su more than Gwang-su, who took her to the emergency room," and added, "Strangely, we can't keep up with the divorced singles seasons. The zero-to-60 is 0.23 seconds." Song Hae-na made a face of complete incomprehension, saying, "Is it because I never got married?"
