Singer and TV personality DinDin has again attracted attention with a candid remark.
On the 8th, the Chuseok special 2 "(Nagging) Please stop!!" episode released on Park Na-rae's YouTube channel Naraesik featured DinDin, Lee Jang-woo, and Key as grants. Park Na-rae served food she made to acquaintances and chatted.
That day production staff greeted DinDin by saying, "DinDin, you seem to have become very popular," and DinDin said, "Wasn't I originally not? What kind of rude comment is that. You invite a celebrity and say 'you've become very popular lately' — what is this," expressing bewilderment.
In response, Park Na-rae mentioned, "I even saw the article after the celebrity's candid remark," and DinDin said cautiously, "It drew a lot of public anger from celebrities. I got calls from a few people saying they would fix me up." Park Na-rae chimed in, "The entertainers' association is keeping a close eye on you."
DinDin said, "For people like us with normal thinking, this is 'okay,' but this has been distorted again. The concept of currency value is somewhat different," expressing his view.
Previously, when DinDin appeared with Lee Joon on the web variety show Workman, he criticized Lee Joon, who asked a café worker, "A branch manager earns about 10 million won a month, right?" saying, "This is the problem with celebrities. They have no concept of currency value. They drive supercars, use Jenny's bed, and so on. It makes no sense," drawing attention at the time for his candid remark.
Later, DinDin said on the recently aired KBS 2TV variety show 1 Night 2 Days, "I won't abandon Lee Joon today. I plan to look after him all day," and added, "After appearing on the YouTube channel run by Joon hyung, my image skyrocketed. I've received many advertising offers and I feel a burden and gratitude toward Joon hyung," sharing an afterword.
The Naraesik production team also commented on this. DinDin then made another candid remark. That day Park Na-rae was curious about DinDin's nephew, and DinDin said, "He's in Korea. This time he went to Italy for Chuseok. I don't give Chuseok gifts because I originally gave him money. But I know where that money goes. Either way, he can't spend that money," he said.
When Park Na-rae said, "Then you can give it as a gift," DinDin said, "So I ask, 'Is there something you want?' If he says, 'I want something like a bicycle,' I tell his sister to buy it. But when she buys it, he doesn't use it much. He quickly gets bored. But that's not a small amount. Bicycles and kickboards are about 400,000 won," he explained the situation.
DinDin said, "Baby clothes are expensive too," and added, "I'm really curious: adult padding uses the same price even though baby padding uses much less fabric. Even if you put in filling, it would be about a third less… so I didn't buy it," drawing attention. After that remark, interest poured in again calling it another of DinDin's candid remarks.
