The SBS new Friday-Saturday drama premiering on the 10th (Fri), Would You Merry Me (directed by Song Hyun-wook, Hwang In-hyeok / written by Lee Ha-na / produced by Studio S, Samhwa Networks) is a sweet-and-deadly 90-day fake married life of a man and woman trying to win a luxury newlywed home prize, and it raises expectations as a work that will showcase solid acting synergy when reliable actor Choi Woo-shik (as Kim Woo-joo) and rom-com goddess Jung So-min (as Yoo Me-ri) meet.
Would You Merry Me released stills on the 9th showing the fateful first meeting of Kim Woo-joo (played by Choi Woo-shik) and Yoo Me-ri (played by Jung So-min), drawing attention. The released stills show a drunk Me-ri and a bewildered-looking Woo-joo, foreshadowing an unusual first encounter.
Me-ri reveals she is heavily intoxicated with messy hair, flushed cheeks and eyes that have lost their sparkle. She staggers and reaches out one hand toward Woo-joo. Woo-joo widens his eyes and looks at the drunken Me-ri.
Me-ri bursts into drunken sobbing, drawing attention. At the sight of Me-ri crying bitterly on the roadside, a flustered Woo-joo scratches his head and keeps his distance from her. Woo-joo's apparent desire to avoid the drunk Me-ri provokes laughter.
