Han Seok-kyu moved one step closer to the truth about Min Seong-wook, the man who killed his son.
On the 7th (Tue) broadcast of the tvN Monday-Tuesday drama "Shin's Project" (written by Ban Gi-ri / directed by Shin Kyung-soo / planned by Studio Dragon / produced by Do Frame), episode 8 showed Shin Sa-jang (played by Han Seok-kyu) obsessively pursuing Yoon Dong-hee (played by Min Seong-wook), who had taken his son and fled without paying for his crime, and uncovering a suspicious link between his crimes and money.
Episode 8 recorded a metropolitan household average rating of 6.7%, a high of 7.7%, a nationwide household average of 7.2%, and a high of 8.4%, ranking first across all channels in the same time slot. It also ranked first among 20- to 49-year-old male and female viewers, tvN's target demographic, among cable and general programming channels. That day Shin Sa-jang heard unexpected news from Kim Su-dong (played by Jung Eun-pyo), an Assistant Deputy Director at the Community Service Center. A few days earlier a spam message had been sent to a phone registered in Yoon Dong-hee's name, and tracking it revealed that one million dollars had been deposited into an overseas bank account.
Noting the mysterious flow of funds, Shin Sa-jang secretly asked for help from Kim Seung-tae (played by Jung Wook-jin), a former gangster and current construction company CEO. Later Kim Seung-tae bought a kindergarten site and left a telling remark that because the surrounding area was all private land, traces could be concealed, and Shin Sa-jang asked him to prepare an additional warehouse, deepening his curiosity about the plan.
Also, Shin Sa-jang learned that on the date the one million dollars was deposited, Yoon Dong-hee's attending physician had committed suicide by jumping. With Kim Su-dong's help, he also discovered additional information that money had been deposited into the overseas bank account three times in total. Shin Sa-jang passed this to police officer Choi Cheol (played by Kim Seong-o), and Choi pointed out that on the two previous deposit dates there had been deaths he had been investigating. However, there was no deposit record on the day Shin Sa-jang's son died, raising a new question.
Just as suspicions were growing, Yoon Dong-hee unexpectedly appeared in front of Shin Sa-jang, delivering a shock. Choi Cheol had witnessed Yoon Dong-hee stab him and fall. In particular, although Shin Sa-jang immediately ran over, Yoon Dong-hee, already in a vehicle, stared back at Shin Sa-jang with a chilling look as Shin Sa-jang expressed anger from outside the car window, creating a suffocating standoff and a powerful ending.
Meanwhile, Jo Philip (played by Bae Hyun-sung) moved to help fitness trainer Mo Seon-mi (played by Kim Hee-jung), who had been suffering wage arrears for six months. In the past, when Mo Seon-mi had been a young franchise owner and lost a class-action suit, Jo Philip had been the head office's lawyer and the painful memory remained. Accordingly Jo Philip and Shin Sa-jang infiltrated the gym to assess the poor working conditions and did their best.
However, when Jo Philip's senior and the gym's counsel, Du Dong-seok (played by Hong Woo-jin), intervened after noticing the situation, the gym manager paid Mo Seon-mi one month's wages in advance and offered her a manager position at the Bali branch to placate her, and Mo Seon-mi asked Jo Philip to pretend nothing had happened, saying everything was resolved.
Just when the matter seemed settled, an unexpected twist unfolded at the end of the broadcast. Jo Philip and Lee Si-on (played by Lee Re) went to the gym to find Mo Seon-mi, but it had already been turned into an empty lot, and only a tearful Mo Seon-mi remained in front of it, surprising the two. With an ominous atmosphere in the air, attention is focused on what story Jo Philip and Lee Si-on will hear from Mo Seon-mi.
Meanwhile, the tvN Monday-Tuesday drama "Shin's Project" will return to viewers on the evening of the 13th (Mon) at 8:50 p.m. with a special episode, "Shin's Project: impressive negotiation compilation." Episodes 9 and 10 will air on the 20th (Mon) and 21st (Tue), respectively.
