The 2025 Chuseok special Idol Star Athletics Championships (abbreviated as "ISAC") will unveil events full of spectacle, including dance sport, pistol shooting and the 400m relay.
Today (8th) in the third part of MBC's 2025 Chuseok special ISAC, following part two, the dance sport competition, the main driver of buzz, will take place and the much-anticipated "dancing queen" will be chosen.
FIFTY FIFTY's Moon Chanel, who recently drew attention with the "Pookie" challenge, and Julie of KISS OF LIFE, who earned the nickname "hot summer queen" with overwhelming vocal power and hip performances, are among the most notable girl idols appearing. Also joining are hidden talents such as Jiyeon of tripleS, a ballet major, and Nova of X:IN, a professional dancer with 15 years of dance sport experience, promising fierce competition for the "dancing queen" title. Last year's silver medalist Nana of WOOAH is making a bid to win gold this year, setting the stage for an even more intense contest.
In the mixed team pistol shooting that follows, male and female idols from major domestic agencies such as SM, WAKEONE and Starship will compete alongside a special combination seen only at the 2025 ISAC, the "Rookies". The Rookies are a team of fifth-generation idols who just debuted this year; they reportedly even conducted joint training with the rookie energy and competitive drive typical of newcomers. After a true showdown for pride among the big agencies that lead the K-pop industry, curiosity surrounds which agency will claim the title of "pistol shooting powerhouse."
Also scheduled is the 400m relay, the "flower of track," an event synonymous with ISAC. A wide range of teams will take part, from proven track powers Kep1er, &TEAM and P1Harmony to teams aiming to become emerging track idols such as Hearts2Hearts, FIFTY FIFTY and KickFlip. Matching the dazzling lineup, a high-level match-up unlike any other is said to have left everyone at the venue astonished. In particular, expectations are high to see whether &TEAM, which won gold by a large margin in 2024, can retain the title of "track powerhouse". The show airs today at 5:50 p.m. <
