Actor Sunwoo Yong-yeo scolded Park Young-gyu, who has been married four times.

That day Park Young-gyu said he was glad to see Sunwoo Yong-yeo, saying, "I think this is the first time we've met since Soonpoong ended." But Sunwoo Yong-yeo did not look pleased. He said, "So really, marriage is not a play. It's not a drama. Marriage now is something you really have to live well. It's the time to wrap up your later years. Meanwhile, Park Young-gyu first married a junior from Seoul Institute of the Arts in 1983 and divorced in 1996. In 1997 he remarried designer Choi Kyung-sook and later divorced again.
Afterwards he had a third marriage in Canada but divorced again, and in Dec. 2019 he married a non-celebrity woman for the fourth time. Park Young-gyu's current wife is reported to be 25 years younger.
