A rookie boy band AxMxP (AMP) is expanding its presence as a next-generation band contender.
AxMxP is a four-member boy band made up of vocal Hayujun, guitarist Kim Shin, drummer Crew, and bassist Juhwan, and even before their official debut they steadily built recognition through various activities such as their agency's family concerts, festivals, photo shoots, drama grants, and appearances in dramas, drawing high expectations.
Afterward, AxMxP released their first full-length album AxMxP on the 10th of last month and officially entered the music scene with a debut show the size of a concert attended by about 2,200 audience members. Also, unusually for rookies, they debuted with a full-length album and promoted three title tracks—I Did It, You made me a poet (Love Poem), and Shocking Drama—showing the confidence of a prepared newcomer. In particular, with about 63,000 copies sold from this album, they rose to No. 1 in first-week sales for debut band albums, proving their presence as a mega rookie.
AxMxP also received global attention immediately upon debut when U.S. music outlet Billboard named them the K-pop rookie of the month for September. Billboard cited the reason for the selection as "because they truly came out with a highly complete album," and said, "what could be sensed at the debut showcase held during the two hours around the official debut were possibilities wide open toward diverse genres, and an attitude of taking their stages seriously and being responsible for them," praising AxMxP's potential.
AxMxP is continuing an unrookie-like trajectory, receiving love calls from major domestic festivals. Making their first festival appearance at Beautiful Mint Life 2025, AxMxP performed on the 28th of last month at the 2025 Busan International Rock Festival, Korea's first and longest-running rock festival, interacting with the audience, and in December they will join the lineup for Countdown Fantasy, further solidifying their place in the band scene.
Showing the activity befitting a mega rookie, AxMxP will meet fans through various stages and content including music shows and grants, where their solid skills and diverse charms have raised expectations for what steps AxMxP will take next.
