The third episode of SBS's Our Ballad, aired on the 7th, showed scenes of participation in the first round of the main competition.
Park Seo-jung, a first-year high school student, said, "While attending the middle school for arts, I studied Korean dance for seven years until the third year of middle school. After that, I switched to singing and entered the arts high school. When I was young, I was active as a Little Angels member and enjoyed interacting with the audience. I wanted to tell my story with my voice, so I started singing."
Park Kyung-rim asked, "If you were a Little Angels member, you must have been really good at dance too. How much did you prepare for the switch?" and Park Seo-jung said, "I practiced for eight months. I entered the arts high school as valedictorian," surprising everyone.
Park Seo-jung said she chose Kim Hyun-sik's "Like Rain, Like Music," explaining, "My maternal grandfather is novelist Yoo Geum-ho. He used to play me many old songs. The one I remember most is Kim Hyun-sik's 'Like Rain, Like Music.' It's a song about remembering a loved one, so it reminded me a lot."
After the stage, Park Seo-jung, who went crazy on stage, cried, saying she thought of her grandfather. Park Kyung-rim said, "I first met IU when she was in second year of middle school and that feeling came back. Hearing the first line felt purifying. As someone who really liked this song, I felt, 'This is how generations continue.'"
Crush said, "It was moving rather than feeling like judging a stage," and Jung Seung-hwan said, "The intro is more important than the chorus. It's the tone color and expression that bring the song's introduction to life. <
