Actor Han So-hee nearly became embroiled in controversy over political leanings after she liked a social media post by Reform Party leader Lee Jun-seok, but her agency quickly explained that there was no political intent and it was a mistake.
Earlier, Lee Jun-seok posted on his personal social media on the 6th that he was being incited by a certain politician's supporters to make it look as if his account followed pornographic accounts.
Lee Jun-seok said, "One person who appears to be a supporter of Han Dong-hoon incited people to make it look as if I followed pornographic accounts to slander me," and "Please do not stake your life on attacking someone based on unverified rumors circulating on the internet," and posted a handwritten apology he received directly from that netizen.
Under the post, actor Han So-hee's official account and a profile photo appeared, and the phrase 'Liked by Han So-hee and others' came up, spreading quickly through social media and online communities. People suggested that by liking Lee Jun-seok's post, Han So-hee had indirectly revealed a political leaning.
Until now Han So-hee had never publicly revealed any political leaning in events such as emergency martial situations and presidential elections, so this social media like drew even more attention. Internet users even reacted with varied comments such as "I've done this many times too. You must have clicked by mistake" and "I don't think it's a mistake."
However, it turned out that Han So-hee's like was a mistake that happened while scrolling.
On the afternoon of the 7th, a representative for Han So-hee told OSEN, "Actor Han So-hee liking Lee Jun-seok's social media post was only a mistake and not at all an act of the actor's will. There was no political tendency, intent, or any other intent," and issued an official statement. They added it was "an accidental touch that happened while scrolling on the phone screen."
Han So-hee, who did not realize she had actually liked the post, noticed the touch mistake later and withdrew the like herself after 3 p.m. that day.
Meanwhile, Han So-hee is scheduled to hold a world tour fan meeting on the 26th at Yonsei University Sinchon Campus Grand Auditorium in Seoul, and is preparing for the release of her next film, Project Y.
