BABYMONSTER teased high-quality content that faithfully captures the choreography's inherent charm for the title track "WE GO UP" from their second mini album, sharply raising music fans' expectations.
YG Entertainment posted "[WE GO UP] SCHEDULE SPOILER" on its official blog on the 7th. According to the post, BABYMONSTER will release the "WE GO UP" music video on the 10th along with their comeback, and at 12 a.m. on the 14th, four days later, they will unveil an exclusive performance video.
Earlier, YG chief producer Yang Hyun-suk personally introduced BABYMONSTER's second mini album title track and said he would "release a choreography video of a quality comparable to a music video." The exclusive performance video is one of YG's in-house productions that Yang Hyun-suk is directing personally from planning to filming, drawing significant interest.
The poster released that day also grabs attention with the intense mood created by a black-and-white cityscape. Neon green typography sharply printed over the restrained monotone background stands out. It hints at another transformation of BABYMONSTER, who has handled a wide range of concepts with ever-changing charm.
Meanwhile, BABYMONSTER will make a comeback at 1 p.m. on the 10th with the second mini album [WE GO UP]. The album includes four tracks: the hip-hop-based title track "WE GO UP" with powerful energy, the catchy "PSYCHO," the R&B hip-hop track "SUPA DUPA LUV," and the country-pop dance song "WILD."
Having successfully completed their first world tour "HELLO MONSTERS," which reached 32 shows in 20 cities across Seoul, North America, Japan and Asia, BABYMONSTER will begin activities for [WE GO UP] with even greater capabilities. They are expected to sustain their upward momentum by appearing across various platforms, including music shows, radio and YouTube.
