Comedian Cho Hye-ryeon revealed the happiness she regained through remarriage.
On the June 6 episode of "With Sean," which was released on YouTube, Cho Hye-ryeon appeared as a guest. The video title itself drew attention: "I think getting remarried was really the right choice' — why Cho Hye-ryeon's family changed 180 degrees after remarriage!"
She said, "I had one painful experience after I got married. Then I met my current husband, and that person took care of the children and Wooju's heart changed to love, so now she is in Colorado. She is studying the Bible for six months."
She added, "Before Wooju went to the U.S., she wrote a letter. She used to call him 'ajusshi,' but she wrote 'To dear father.' She wrote, 'Because of you I learned what love is.' Tears welled up," she said, opening up and bringing a lump to listeners' throats.
Cho Hye-ryeon joked, "She also wrote a separate letter to her mother, saying, 'To a mother who is awkward at expressing herself.' Still, she said she understands her mother's heart well."
She expressed gratitude to her current husband, saying, "Although I was very happy when the children were born, I grew up not receiving much love. When I met my current husband and was able to be loved as an individual, being loved by a spouse made me so happy."
She added warmly, "So I tried a lot to live like Sean and Jung Hye-young. I thought I should do that, and by expressing myself more I ended up monopolizing his love."
Cho Hye-ryeon married her first husband in 1998 and had two children, but they divorced in 2012 after 14 years. She later remarried in 2014 to businessman and CEO Ko Yosep, who is two years younger than her.
