Negotiation hero Han Seok-kyu solved a jeonse fraud in a way no one expected.
On the 6th (Mon) episode of the tvN Monday-Tuesday drama Shin's Project (written by Ban Gi-ri / directed by Shin Kyung-soo / planned by Studio Dragon / produced by TwoFrame), episode 7 featured Shin Sa-jang (played by Han Seok-kyu), Jo Philip (played by Bae Hyun-seong) and Lee Si-on (played by Ire) teaming up to make Oh Mi-sook (played by Jung Ae-yeon) and Lee Min-cheol (played by Yang Jong-wook) properly pay for their crimes, delivering a thrilling catharsis to viewers.
As a result, episode 7 recorded a household average rating of 5.4% in the metropolitan area, peaking at 6.6%, and a nationwide household average of 5.5%, peaking at 6.8%, ranking first among cable and general programming channels in the same time slot. It also ranked first among cable and general programming channels in tvN's target 20-49 male and female ratings. (Based on paid platforms integrating cable, IPTV and satellite / provided by Nielsen Korea)
Facing Baek Seung-mu (played by Lee Jong-hyun), who was falsely accused of jeonse fraud because of his mother Oh Mi-sook's betrayal, Shin Sa-jang gave him practical advice that he must never be forgiven until the situation is resolved, and Baek Seung-mu, with Jo Philip's help, decided to directly accuse Oh Mi-sook.
But Jo Philip, knowing that the measure would be useless if Oh Mi-sook ultimately refused to pay, could not hide his frustration, and Shin Sa-jang, watching him, raised expectations to a peak by hinting at a hero-like counterattack with the line, "When dealing with someone who isn't human, you have to treat them accordingly."
First, Shin Sa-jang confirmed the location of Lee Min-cheol's burner phone with Kim Su-dong (played by Jung Eun-pyo), Assistant Deputy Director at the Community Service Center, and immediately moved out with Jo Philip and Lee Si-on. Posing as a newlywed couple to approach the real estate office, Jo Philip and Lee Si-on secured decisive evidence that Oh Mi-sook and Lee Min-cheol were again plotting jeonse fraud using a homeless person's name, and based on this the police immediately launched an investigation, opening the path to punishing the jeonse fraud.
Shin Sa-jang added one more satisfying move in his own way. With help from Club Secret representative Ju Madam (played by Woo Mi-hwa) and the club's employee Manager Bae (played by Bae Yoon-gyu), he kidnapped Oh Mi-sook and Lee Min-cheol, gave them a suspicious IV and made them take an unidentified drug, exposing them to extreme terror.
Terrified by the chilling atmosphere, Oh Mi-sook eventually promised to return the money to the jeonse fraud victims, and as a result the victims were able to recover their money. Transferred to the police, Oh Mi-sook and Lee Min-cheol claimed they had been threatened by Shin Sa-jang, but it was revealed that the IV contained glucose and the drug was effervescent vitamins, leaving a pleasant twist.
Meanwhile, Shin Sa-jang fell into deep thought after hearing that Yoon Dong-hee (played by Min Seong-wook), the murderer who killed his son, had escaped from the National Forensic Hospital. That was because Yoon Dong-hee, who had appeared lethargic due to mental illness, was moving normally on CCTV.
After hearing from police officer Choi Cheol (played by Kim Seong-o) about a theory that someone was behind Yoon Dong-hee, Shin Sa-jang asked Kim Su-dong to check whether Yoon Dong-hee had hidden assets. Suspicious transaction traces were later found under the name of Yoon Dong-hee's deceased mother, and the possibility of a contract killing was raised.
This further intensified curiosity about why Yoon Dong-hee killed Shin Sa-jang's son and the real reason behind it. At the end of the broadcast, episode 7 closed as a mysterious woman's photo was delivered to Yoon Dong-hee, heralding the prologue of another incident.
The truth behind Han Seok-kyu's son's death can be found in episode 8 of the tvN Monday-Tuesday drama Shin's Project, airing tonight (7th) at 8:50 p.m.
