Comedian Shin Dong-yup and comedienne Jo Hye-ryeon beamed over their big success raising children.
Shin Dong-yup recently shared the joy of his daughter's college acceptance with singer Shin Seung-hoon, who appeared as a guest, in content released on the YouTube channel "Zzanbro."
In that content, Shin Dong-yup and Jung Ho-chul cheered on Shin Seung-hoon, who made a comeback with a full-length album after 10 years, and carried on a cheerful conversation. Then Shin Dong-yup asked the production staff for a cellphone, saying it was the day his daughter's college announcement would come out and he was anxiously waiting for the news.
In the end, Shin Dong-yup was genuinely happy to hear the news of his daughter's college acceptance. Jung Ho-chul and the production staff also said, "Congratulations," and the group applauded to celebrate Shin Dong-yup. Even while working, Shin Dong-yup thoughtfully worried about his daughter as a father.
Guest Shin Seung-hoon, upon hearing the news of Shin Dong-yup's daughter's college acceptance, said, "I was clapping, so I thought while I went to the restroom they had congratulated the new song once more. (Moved) I almost cried while holding the wall with one hand," provoking laughter.
Meanwhile, Jo Hye-ryeon earlier revealed her son Uju's early independent status. Jo Hye-ryeon previously appeared on MBC radio Two O'clock Date with Ahn Young-mi in August and said, "My son Uju is going to Colorado, U.S., in September," adding that he passed the qualification exam and succeeded in entering university.
Later, Jo Hye-ryeon updated the status of her two children on the YouTube channel "Sean and me" on the 6th. Jo Hye-ryeon said, "My eldest struggled a lot at first. Even though he was first in the school, no matter how well he studied he couldn't move up, and that drove him into an obsession. So I had him quit school," she said. He then went to an international school and studied in the U.S., but when COVID hit he transferred to Hankuk University of Foreign Studies and is now a senior.
Jo Hye-ryeon also explained about the son who entered university, "My son had an elementary school diploma at 18, took the qualification exam and entered the game department at 19 and is now a senior. He has now filed a leave of absence and went to Lausanne, Switzerland, for training." Jo Hye-ryeon was proud to see both of her children devoted to their studies.
