In "My Ugly Duckling," Yoon Hyun-min choked up recalling memories with his father.
On the 5th, Yoon Hyun-min granted to appear on the SBS variety show "My Ugly Duckling" (hereafter "My Ugly Duckling").
That day Yoon Hyun-min, holding a bouquet, headed with his stepmother to the columbarium opened for ancestral rites. It was to honor his father, who passed away from cancer three years earlier.
Then Yoon Hyun-min personally prepared the ancestral table for his father and choked up while organizing the glasses and hat his father had worn in life.
He then fell into memories of his father from life. He said he earned his own acting lesson fees by working at his father's meat restaurant. After quitting baseball he worked part-time jobs receiving daily wages.
Yoon Hyun-min said, "My father always asked, 'If you don't play baseball, how will you make a living?'" and added, "My father, who had been an athlete, was upset when I quit baseball." He said his father even followed his training camps.
Yoon Hyun-min also expressed regret and apology, saying, "I think I retired too early."
Yoon Hyun-min recalled, "Still, when my father performed, he would bring about 20 people to see the performance. After the show he greeted acquaintances," and choked up remembering he was still a proud son to his father.
