Singer Wonho (WONHO) targeted fans' hearts with a high-quality video that felt like a scene from a movie.
His agency, Highline Entertainment, released a special clip for Wonho's first full-length album SYNDROME pre-release track "Good Liar" on its official YouTube channel at 8 p.m. on the 5th.
The released video focuses on a red phone booth under a night sky struck by thunder, lightning and a storm. It then shows Wonho opening the door and entering, clutching the receiver as he sings "Good Liar" as if in conversation with someone, drawing a passionate response from global fans.
Along with Wonho's picture-perfect visuals, the sensuous direction alternating between black-and-white and color created the feel of watching a scene from a film. Wonho's chewy vocals in "Good Liar" flowed out, blending perfectly with the video and overwhelming both eyes and ears.
Finally, the video ends with Wonho tossing down the receiver and leaving the booth, and a shot of flames blazing beyond the phone booth, leaving a strong aftertaste despite its short length. The special clip, rich with Wonho's unique charm, raised anticipation for his upcoming first full-length album.
SYNDROME is Wonho's first full-length album presented about 5 years and 2 months after his solo debut. The pre-release track "Good Liar" is a song about the will to protect oneself and move forward amid repeated lies and betrayals; it centers on a strong inner strength that faces truth and protects oneself in relationships where wounds have become language.
The new title track is "if you wanna," for which Wonho directly participated in composition and arrangement, raising even greater expectations. In addition, the album includes a total of 10 tracks showcasing Wonho's evolved musical capabilities: "Fun," "DND," "Scissors," "At The Time," "Beautiful," "On Top Of The World," "Maniac," the first pre-release track released in June "Better Than Me," and the second pre-release track "Good Liar."
Wonho's pre-release track "Good Liar" is available on various music streaming sites, and the full album will be officially released at 12 a.m. on the 31st.
