On the May 5 broadcast of SBS variety show My Little Old Boy (hereafter My Little Old Boy), Yoon Hyun-min grants appearance with his stepmother.
That day Yoon Hyun-min carried a bouquet and headed with his stepmother to the ossuary opened for memorial visits. It was to honor his father, who died of cancer three years earlier. Afterwards Yoon Hyun-min personally prepared a ceremonial table for his father, and he choked up as he sorted the glasses and hat his father had worn in life.
Just then his stepmother handed over the wedding invitation of Yoon Hyun-min's half sibling. When his stepmother said, "Hyun-min should go first," Yoon Hyun-min smiled awkwardly and said, "I won't go." His stepmother also said, "Don't worry; he's not going because he wants to get married as handsomely as possible."
He then fell into memories of his father. He said he worked at his father's meat restaurant and paid for acting lessons himself. After quitting baseball he worked part-time for daily pay. Yoon Hyun-min said, "You used to always ask me what I would do for a living if I quit baseball," and added, "My father was an athlete; he was upset when I stopped playing baseball." He said his father even followed him on conditioning trips. Yoon Hyun-min said, "I guess I retired too early," expressing regret and apology.
Yoon Hyun-min said, "The thing he wore on his wrist when my father died, the thing he held to his chest when he was breathing," as he took out his father's belongings and said, "I couldn't throw them away; I kept them at the time of death." He kept the last traces of his father. Then Yoon Hyun-min took out a card that stores voice messages. He, who recorded messages as letters to send to the sky, eventually shed tears. He said, "I hope the works I do are seen well (from the sky)," and with a sob his voice full of longing for his father made everyone hope it reached the heavens.
