QWER (Chodan, Magenta, Hina, Siyeon) will release the special single "White Whaleback" at 6 p.m. today (6th) on various music streaming sites.
"White Whaleback" is a remake of a signature song by the national band YB (Yoon Do-hyun Band) that reinterprets the comforting message "I will overcome fear in a difficult world and move out into a wider world" in QWER's own sensibility.
In particular, through this special single, QWER pays attention to YB's legacy of pioneering the Korean rock scene and singing of resistance and solidarity, and aims to become an artist that can take that as a milestone and move out into a wider sea.
QWER previously gave fans a surprise preview of the "White Whaleback" performance during the third show of their first world tour, "2025 QWER 1ST WORLD TOUR 'ROCKATION'," held March 3-5 at the Ticketlink Live Arena in Olympic Park, Seoul. Because QWER stirred fans' emotions with a blend of deeply resonant vocals and performance, anticipation for the official audio release reached a peak.
