On "My Little Old Boy," actor Yoon Hyun-min acknowledged that he is close friends with singer Cho Hyun-a and recounted their past duet connection.
On the May 5 episode of SBS variety show My Little Old Boy (hereafter My Little Old Boy), Yoon Hyun-min visited Cho Hyun-a's home.
That day Yoon Hyun-min arranged to meet a mysterious woman. "Be careful coming, oppa," she said in a coquettish voice that drew attention. He even visited the woman's home; on seeing that, Seo Jang-hoon and Shin Dong-yup said, "If you go into someone's home, you're usually more than just acquaintances. Are you meeting at her house?" showing interest, and by chance her father was also at home.
It turned out to be singer Cho Hyun-a's house. They said they are very close like older brother and younger sister. In a previous broadcast Cho Hyun-a had cried out "all for Yoon Hyun-min." They said they had been close for a long time. They became close because of similar tastes. The two had a past duet connection. They were seen singing the song "Hold Me" together and showing tears. The panelists said, "A duet should be joyful, but this feels like it has a story," and "They are friends, so why are they crying? It feels like watching Hollywood," expressing curiosity, and eventually they turned to Yoon Hyun-min's mother and joked, "Ask her later if she knows anything about these two," which caused laughter.
When Yoon Hyun-min said, "Hyun-a was so pretty back then," Cho Hyun-a snapped, "What about now?" and Yoon Hyun-min corrected himself, "She's pretty now too." He also said of his close friend Cho Hyun-a, "I know how many people you've dated and who they were," and added, "Didn't your sad memories get sublimated into songs that make you real estate?" drawing envy. Cho Hyun-a asked, "Oppa, don't you want to date?" and Yoon Hyun-min said, "I believe in fate," saying that he doesn't want to marry now but might want to if he meets a fated partner.
In fact, the two share the common experience of being raised in a remarried household. The panelists were intrigued, saying, "They might end up as family," given their similar upbringings. In particular, the person who first rushed to Yoon Hyun-min's father's funeral was Hyun-a. Hyun-a said, "I'm loyal; I ran there as soon as I heard," and Yoon Hyun-min also expressed gratitude, saying, "The first visitor, I won't forget it. The friend who came when I was having a hard time is the most memorable."
Cho Hyun-a's father, who was watching the two, took a liking to Yoon Hyun-min, and Cho Hyun-a wittily replied, "You should come to my house during next year's holiday too," which drew laughter.
Meanwhile, Yoon Hyun-min announced his breakup with actress Baek Jin-hee, who had been one of the entertainment industry's longest-running couples, in September 2023.
