It was revealed that Lee Tae-ran sought out Jung In-seon because of a liver transplant, delivering a huge shock to living room audiences.
On the 18th episode of KBS 2TV weekend drama Our Golden Days (directed by Kim Hyung-seok / written by So Hyun-kyung / produced by Studio Comingsoon, Studio Bom, Monster Union), which aired at 8 p.m. on the 5th (yesterday), Lee Ji-hyeok (played by Jung Il-woo) realizes his feelings for Ji Eun-oh (played by Jung In-seon) and, trying to hide them, deliberately keeps his distance.
In that episode Ji-hyeok realizes his feelings for Eun-oh and cannot hide his embarrassment. Ji-hyeok even handed off meeting Eun-oh for work commute to Park Seong-jae (played by Yoon Hyun-min), and Seong-jae and Eun-oh wondered at Ji-hyeok's sudden change in attitude. Eun-oh, feeling uncomfortable with Ji-hyeok's obvious avoidance, tried to talk, but Ji-hyeok continued to avoid Eun-oh, heightening the tension.
Jeong Soon-hee (played by Kim Jeong-young) carefully tended to injured Eun-oh by boiling beef bone soup. Soon-hee, who pitifully watched Eun-oh wracked with guilt as she mulled over Ji Kang-oh's (played by Yang Hyuk) words, confessed that she had gone to see Kang-oh and steadied her wavering heart. Soon-hee's efforts to comfort the wounded Eun-oh and protect the family added to the poignancy. Meanwhile, Kang-oh could not stand the way his friends looked down on him and left the part-time job he had been doing.
Meanwhile, Seong-jae, who learned belatedly of Ji-hyeok's office transfer, could not hide his hurt and confronted him. The argument between Ji-hyeok and Seong-jae, with emotions building on both sides, escalated into a physical fight. Covered in dirt, the two men laid bare their honest feelings, and Seong-jae's genuine feelings for Eun-oh only made Ji-hyeok's emotions more complicated.
Meanwhile, Go Seong-hee (played by Lee Tae-ran) raised curiosity by heading to a mysterious villa. Seong-hee was humiliated when Ji-hong's mother discovered that she had been working behind the scenes to connect Park Young-ra (played by Park Jeong-yeon) with chaebol son Min Jung-ho (played by Nam Hae-jun). Enraged, Seong-hee ripped Young-ra's clothes and took her anger out on her.
Jo Ok-rye (played by Ban Hyo-jung) felt proud as she prepared a birthday table for her son Lee Sang-cheol (played by Cheon Ho-jin) with money she had earned. She also enjoyed buying tteokbokki with money she earned together with her friend-in-law Kim Jang-su (played by Yoon Joo-sang). Kim Da-jeong (played by Kim Hee-jung) started a restaurant serving part-time job, and Sang-cheol likewise immersed himself in preparing for his practical exam, each taking steps in their own growth.
Sang-cheol, displeased that Ji-hyeok returned home, threatened that he should not bother with his birthday. But Ji-hyeok, bothered by his father's worn sneakers, sincerely presented him with new sneakers. Sang-cheol, secretly pleased, forced himself to hide it and pushed his son Ji-hyeok away again.
At the end of the broadcast, Eun-oh, having learned it was Sang-cheol's birthday, set up convenience store food and enjoyed a small birthday party with Sang-cheol. When Eun-oh, who said she would step out briefly, did not return, a worried Ji-hyeok searched the neighborhood convenience stores and found Sang-cheol and Eun-oh together and was astonished. At the same time, the shocking fact that Seong-hee had sought out Eun-oh for a liver transplant surfaced, leaving living room audiences aghast.
Viewers who watched the broadcast reacted passionately, saying, "Ji-hyeok is so erratic. We all know he likes Eun-oh, right?", "Seong-jae's dream being Eun-oh is so thrilling," "Is Go Seong-hee really thinking about Eun-oh or trying to have her her way? It's scary," "Ok-rye and Jang-su becoming friends and eating tteokbokki together is so cute," "Seong-jae and Soo-bin actually suit each other," "Young-ra raised under a mother like Go Seong-hee is so pitiful," "Seeing Sang-cheol and Eun-oh together, Ji-hyeok will be really shocked, right?", "Seong-hee is scary. She found her biological daughter because of a liver?"
