22nd season "I Am Solo" contestants Oksun and Kyungsoo confessed there was a crisis where their engagement was nearly called off while preparing for marriage.
On the 3rd, the YouTube channel "Chonjang Entertainment TV" posted a video titled "Why we are getting married early... 22nd season Kyungsoo & Oksun marriage announcement interview Part 1."
That day, after delivering a wedding invitation to "I Am Solo" producer Nam Gyu-hong, the 22nd season contestants Oksun and Kyungsoo said, "We decided to marry a bit earlier. Since the children each have their own lives, we felt it was better to be together as soon as possible rather than postpone, so after deciding to marry we looked for the earliest available venue," they explained.
Kyungsoo added, "We actually looked at May as well, but since we're already like a family and it felt odd to suddenly hold it in May, we booked it as soon as possible."
When asked if there were any episodes while preparing for the wedding, Oksun revealed there had been a crisis where the engagement was nearly called off. Oksun said, "That was a moment that made me change my mindset a lot. You can't approach marriage as lightly as you might think."
Kyungsoo said, "This is the first time I'm saying this, but I'm actually remarried and Ms. Oksun is marrying for the first time. Maybe because I've experienced a breakup before, that word came out of my mouth too easily," he confessed.
He continued, "When we fight or things aren't good, I used to think, 'Stop it!' and promised myself never to say that. Ms. Oksun never says that; even if she gets angry she doesn't say those words, but I realized I tend to say them easily and need to be careful," he said.
Kyungsoo emphasized, "They say once you've done it, you'll do it again; I reflected a lot on myself and thought I should tell people who remarry later about this."
Meanwhile, Oksun and Kyungsoo appeared on the SBS Plus and ENA program "I Am Solo" 22nd season divorced special that aired last year and became a final couple. The two continued their relationship after the show ended and announced their marriage by reporting their marriage registration in May.
