"Criminal Scene" producer Yoon Hyun-joon voiced his frustrations with primitive compositing.
On the 4th, a new video titled "The decisive behind-the-scenes you missed is right here! | Crime Scene Zero commentary - Part 1" was released on the YouTube channel "Studio Slam."
That day, Yoon Hyun-joon opened up after being asked, "Your distinctive fake compositing and name making, do you do it sloppily on purpose?" He explained the start of his primitive compositing: "When I first started 'Crime Scene,' it couldn't be helped. That was the best I could do. In that era I wanted to do compositing well, but it just didn't work out for me. I had no money, and I couldn't outsource it (to have it done)."
Yoon said, "At that time I really hated it. Is this all I can do? I wanted to make a refined, sophisticated 'Crime Scene,' but I couldn't," and added, "Because people liked it so much, it became an identity, and we matched it to that. That also takes time."
He continued, "You could just do the compositing, but you keep redoing it, again and again. It takes time to get it to match. People think this was made sloppily, usually. 'It must have been easy because it was sloppy.' But it's very difficult to determine the degree of sloppiness."
Yoon Hyun-joon said, "And people think naming is done sloppily, but it requires flashes of inspiration each time. Our writers agonize over it and come up with names. So it's not something done sloppily."
Meanwhile, "Crime Scene Zero" premiered on Netflix on the 23rd of last month and is scheduled to be released every Tuesday.<
