Actor Kim Woo-bin recalled his feelings when he first returned to set after being cured of nasopharyngeal cancer.
On the 5th, a new video titled "우빈이 머리털로 규필 낳음" was released on Netflix Korea's official YouTube channel.
That day Yoo Byung-jae asked, "Woo-bin returned as an 'alien,' how many years was the total break?" and Kim Woo-bin explained, "It's been six years since something of mine came out as a work, and the resting period was about two and a half years."
Jonathan then asked, "You wanted to make a stylish comeback, but because of the skin-tight suit it all got ruined?" Kim Woo-bin said, "Rather than wanting a stylish comeback, I was nervous and worried, 'Will my body move like it used to?' and had thoughts like that," and added, "For the first scene the director picked the shortest part of my scenes, something I could do relatively comfortably, but that scene required a lot of CG so I had to wear a full-body tights."
He continued, "So that was a bit embarrassing. I was greeting the staff for the first time, and instead of greeting before changing clothes, I greeted on set, so I greeted them wearing the full-body suit," he recalled.
Yoo Byung-jae emphasized, "Many people, including myself, worry and want to say, 'I have returned healthy like this,' but wearing the skin-tight suit," and Kim Woo-bin confessed, "On the contrary, getting it over with like that on the first day made me feel more comfortable."
Meanwhile, Kim Woo-bin was diagnosed with nasopharyngeal cancer in 2017 and, after battling the disease, was cured in 2019 and resumed activities in 2022 with the drama "Our Blues" and the film "Alien+Human" part 1.
