Choi Hong-man shared recent news that he is living while working part-time in Jeju.
On the 4th, MBC's Omniscient Interfering View featured Choi Hong-man and Poong-ja.
Standing 217 cm tall, Choi Hong-man made even a queen-size bed look small, drawing attention. Choi Hong-man said he was living in Jeju and explained, "I was in Jeju for the 4 or 5 years I took a break from broadcasting activities. I had severe social anxiety. I overcame it in Jeju through exercise." He added, "Not meeting people and only exercising naturally made me feel better."
Choi Hong-man woke early at 4 a.m. He took out a carton of eggs and eight packs of yogurt. Choi Hong-man makes every object in the world look small. He said he also takes around 20 supplements.
Choi Hong-man went out in the pitch-dark early morning before the sun had risen. He squeezed into a small compact car driven by his Jeju manager. He went out to exercise at dawn to avoid people's eyes. Even then, mindful that people might be surprised by his large frame, he showed the delicacy of wearing red clothing.
After exercising and filling his stomach, Choi Hong-man went to his regular rice cake shop. He said his dream is to be a small-town citizen and that he is learning to make his favorite rice cakes. He explained, "It's been about two years. I get paid daily. And they give me a lot of rice cakes."
Wearing an apron, a hairnet and gloves, Choi Hong-man prepared to start work in earnest. He drew amazement by lifting 12 kg of rice cake dough with one hand. He did everything quickly without skipping tasks, from coating with red bean paste to refilling red bean powder.
