Singer Lim Young-woong's concert performance, "Lim Young-woong recital," once again captured viewers during the holiday break.
4th night special "Lim Young-woong recital," broadcast on SBS, recorded a 6.2% nationwide household rating according to Nielsen Korea.
At the same time slot, a large number of dramas were scheduled. The KBS 2TV weekend mini series "Walking On Thin Ice," which drew attention starring actor Lee Young-ae, recorded 5.1%, and MBC's Friday-Saturday drama "To the Moon" recorded 2.1%, figures that provide a point of comparison.
"Lim Young-woong recital" was Lim Young-woong's solo concert held at Gocheok Sky Dome in Gocheok-dong, Guro District, Seoul, from Dec. 27 last year to Jan. 4 this year. At the time of the performances, Lim Young-woong reportedly drew about 100,000 attendees over six days.
Among these, it was scheduled on SBS as a Chuseok special and met viewers. The energy of the concert reproduced in the living room surprised not only Lim Young-woong's fans but also viewers.
In particular, the large screens installed to surround the dome venue, VCR footage featuring actor Sung Dong-il, Lee Il-hwa and Lim Young-woong that evoked drama, and sets such as a train and an attic room appearing on stage that recalled a musical made for a dazzling arrangement that drew admiration.
Lim Young-woong will once again meet fans with his solo concert "I'm Hero Tour 2025 (IM HERO TOUR 2025)." He is scheduled to perform year-end and New Year shows from the 17th starting in Incheon, then Daegu, Seoul, Gwangju, Daejeon, running through Jan. 4 next year.
