"Face" is a film that depicts the story of Im Young-gyu, who is blind but became a master in the seal carving field, and his son Im Dong-hwan, who together probe the mystery of their mother's death that had been buried for 40 years. The film was produced directly by Wowpoint, the production company led by director Yeon Sang-ho, and attracted attention as an ultra-low-budget work with production costs of about 200 million won, lower than the average production cost of 300 million won for independent films.
In particular, actor Park Jung-min, who played two roles in the film, reportedly agreed to receive a running guarantee instead of an appearance fee. Finally, the film achieved the milestone of surpassing 1 million viewers.
