Actor Shim Hyung-tak revealed a bathing scene with his son Haru, showing off his warm dad charm.
On the 2nd, a video titled "First meeting with the puppy & Haru's expression during his first bath with dad!" was posted on the YouTube channel 'Hyung-tak Saya's Haru.'
The released video shows Shim Hyung-tak and Saya leaving the postpartum care center and returning home with Haru.
Shim Hyung-tak, washing a baby for the first time in his life, appeared nervous, saying, "Right now, Haru is so much of a baby I'm afraid he might break," but by the second day he quickly adopted a skilled posture, holding Haru, washing his hair and body, and showed the calm demeanor of a novice dad.
In particular, when he looked at Haru and said, "Dad doesn't have much hair. Does he look like mom?" and "He's really handsome," the scene fully revealed the doting father's side and drew laughs.
Shim Hyung-tak also earned viewers' sympathy on last month's KBS variety show The Return of Superman by washing Haru while saying, "My back feels like it's going to break," and sweating through child care such as shampooing him four times.
Meanwhile, Shim Hyung-tak registered his marriage in 2022 to Saya, a Japanese woman 18 years his junior, and held wedding ceremonies in Korea and Japan in 2023. He welcomed his first son Haru in January of this year, and the family's YouTube channel has exceeded 140,000 subscribers and is receiving much love.
