A member of Japanese boy group Aぇ!group, Kusama Richard Keita, was arrested by police for exposing his lower body on the street.
According to foreign media in Japan such as Yahoo Japan on the 4th, Kusama Richard Keita was taken to the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department on suspicion of public indecency. Investigators say Kusama is accused of pulling down his pants and exposing his lower body at the entrance of a building in Shinjuku Ward, Tokyo, at around 5 a.m. on the 4th.
A witness reported it and police were dispatched; at the time Kusama was drunk. After the incident became known, his agency said, "We deeply apologize for causing concern and discomfort to many people," and announced that Kusama's activities have been suspended.
Already scheduled appearances were inevitably canceled. The broadcaster said it is considering legal measures in response.
Aぇ!group is a five-member boy group released for the first time after the former Johnny's office, which caused controversy with SMAP's breakup, was reorganized into STARTO Entertainment. Last year their debut album reached No. 1 on Japan's Oricon chart and gained popularity, but Kusama's controversy has put them at the center of attention.<
