"Girls who make imagination reality," the aspiration behind the meteoric rise of girl group ifeye, shared their feelings about Chuseok in their first hanbok interview since debut.

April 8, 2025. The six-member girl group ifeye (Kasia, Rahee, Won Hwayeon, Sasha, Taerin, Miyu), carrying the aspiration of "girls who make imagination reality," appeared on the music scene like a comet.

Ifeye, the first girl group from Hihet Entertainment produced by famous choreographer RyuD (RyuD), drew high expectations even before debut. After their first EP ELRU BLUE, which highlighted "mystique" and "pure chic," they returned three months later on July 16, 100 days after debut, with mini album Wave "Nang" Pt.2 "sweet tang(스윗탱)," shedding the mysterious girl image for a more mature, confident look that left a strong impression.

Ifeye achieved a successful debut based on an original concept and exceptional skills, and they proved their growth potential through a rapid comeback in three months and a bold concept change. Ifeye, deserving of labels like "all-center visuals" and "next-generation performance doll," spoke with us as they celebrated their first holiday since debut, Chuseok.

Q. This is your first Chuseok since debut. How does it feel to wear hanbok?

Kasia: I wore hanbok a lot when I was young, but as I grew up I didn't have many chances to wear it. I'm so happy to wear it now through this hanbok interview and Chuseok. Since it's the first Chuseok we're sharing with Ifory (the fandom name), I'm eager to show our fans our hanbok look as soon as possible.

Won Hwayeon: Before debut I watched seniors do Chuseok interviews and hanbok photo shoots and they looked so beautiful in hanbok that I always wanted to try it. Not only me but all the members look so pretty in hanbok, it really feels like a holiday.

Taerin: When I was young I loved wearing hanbok and giving New Year greetings during Chuseok, but as I became a high school student and then a trainee there weren't many opportunities to wear it. Wearing it together with the members now feels different emotionally, like being a Korean princess.

Rahee: I've never mentioned this before, but when I was young I prepared for tea ceremony competitions and wore hanbok a lot. It's been such a long time since I last wore one, so I'm really happy and excited, and I want to show this look to my tails soon.

Sasha: I've loved hanbok since I was a child and even asked my parents to buy one to wear. Wearing it now as an adult feels different and I want to show it to my parents quickly.

Miyu: Since hanbok is Korea's traditional clothing, I'm so happy to see that all the members suit hanbok well.

Q. Please give Chuseok greetings to your fans.

Miyu: I hope we all happily spend our first holiday since debut, Chuseok, together. As it's a holiday I hope everyone eats lots of delicious food and spends joyful time with family.

Sasha: Ifory, during this Chuseok have fun with your parents and eat lots of delicious food. And don't forget to always take care of your health.

Rahee: We're spending Chuseok together this time. Stay healthy, eat lots of delicious food, and play many fun games.

Taerin: I hope you rest well during the holiday, get plenty of sleep, and eat lots of delicious food. I hope you watch ifeye a lot too.

Won Hwayeon: Since the holiday is long I hope you use it as a time to refresh and get plenty of rest. On the way home or back to the city, if you spend the boring time with ifeye songs it will be fun, so I hope you have a good Chuseok with us.

Kasia: It's our first Chuseok with Ifory and I'm so happy. Eat lots of delicious holiday food, always take care of your health, and don't forget ifeye. I hope you have a great time.

Q. I heard you received your first holiday break for Chuseok. How do you plan to spend it?

Kasia: It's been too long since I last saw my grandparents. I'm going to visit my grandparents' house after a long time, eat delicious holiday food, talk, and mostly sleep and rest.

Won Hwayeon: I made my own food bucket list. I'll eat the things I want to eat when I go home for Chuseok, and if my mom wants to go for a drive I'll go with her. I'm not very familiar with my hometown geography, so I'll study hard this time and try to have a fun holiday.

Taerin: Since I was a trainee I haven't seen my paternal or maternal relatives much. So this Chuseok we're going on a trip to the sea together. I love seafood, and as a trainee and since debut I haven't had as many chances to eat it, so on this trip I'll see the sea and eat lots of seafood.

Rahee: I recently learned to ride a bicycle from the members but I'm still a beginner, and it's hard to ride in Seoul. I promised Sasha that when I go to my parents' home I'll practice riding more seriously. My plan is to practice so much that when I return to Seoul after the Chuseok holiday I can ride a bicycle to work.

Miyu: Since I started training, when I go home I have a routine of hiking with my mom in the morning. I think I'll hike with my mom if I go home this Chuseok. I'll also visit my grandmother's house and meet friends.

Q. With a long holiday, resting well is important. Who is good at using rest time well and who is not?

Members: Taerin rests really well. She secures her own space and time and rests smartly. Rahee also rests well. When she gets time off she goes to places she wanted to go and does things she wanted to do, using her time productively.

Taerin: When practicing I'm fully immersed, and when I rest I really take time for myself without thinking about anything. I relax in my own space, like in bed or at my personal vanity, and play games on my phone or have my own time.

Rahee: When I have free time I go where I want or do what I want. If it's a hard-to-reach place I might think about it 100 times but eventually go, have fun, and then I return and become one with my bed to rest.

Kasia: I can't completely empty my mind when I rest. Even then I sometimes think about our next schedule or monitor our videos, so I don't fully step away from being an idol. It feels like I'm thinking about work all day.

Won Hwayeon: I'm a bit different from Kasia and I think I'm not good at spending rest time. I'm not a planner but act on impulse, so while resting I might suddenly decide to go out and end up making a pointless trip, or I might want to hang out and then fall asleep and wake up the next morning, so I feel I don't spend the holiday as I want.

Q. Some members are going to their hometowns for Chuseok. What hometown dishes do you recommend?

Kasia: My hometown is Jeonju, Jeollabuk-do. When people think of Jeonju they often recommend bibimbap or kongnamul gukbap, but I really think kalguksu is delicious. There's a really good kalguksu place near Inhu-dong that serves hand-cut noodles with lots of clams, and it's spicy and flavorful—I definitely recommend it.

Won Hwayeon: My hometown Jecheon is famous for its red fish cake. During holidays the line gets so long that sometimes I can't eat it. It has a unique seasoning different from other regions, so I definitely recommend trying it.

Taerin: Daejeon is known for Sungsimdang, but kalguksu is also famous. There are so many kalguksu restaurants you pass one every building, and any place you go tastes good, so please try it.

Rahee: I live in Dongtan but if you go a bit further to Pyeongtaek there's a place in front of the U.S. base that sells salted fried food. It's a fried snack made with grandmothers' recipes and tossed with salt, and if you spend 5,000 won on it it's really delicious. Since it's fried, eating too much can be heavy, so try 5,000 won worth and pair it with something spicy.

Sasha: My hometown is Iksan. There's a famous chicken restaurant in Iksan, and I recommend visiting it.

Miyu: I'm from Jinju, and Jinju is famous for milmyeon. If you come to Jinju I recommend trying milmyeon.
