NEXZ released a music video for a track from their new album ahead of the album and delivers a bold shout. JYP Entertainment boy group NEXZ (Tomoya, Yuu, Haru, So Geon, Seita, Huey, Yuki) will release their third mini album Beat-Boxer and the title track of the same name on Oct. 27. They are sequentially opening teasing content such as an invitation video, 3D character videos, online covers, a timetable and a track list, and on the afternoon of the 3rd they released the music video for the album track "I'm Him" on their official social media channels. Track 3, "I'm Him," is a hip-hop track with an addictive rhythm and a chorus melody that lingers in the ear; its message of confidence and pride raises the energy. In the music video NEXZ enjoys freedom during the day without worrying about anyone's gaze, then as the night becomes glamorous they roam the alleys exuding presence, showcasing outstanding performance skills under intense beats and turning various places into NEXZ stages that draw attention.
On the day the music video was released, they held an offline event called Beat Breakers Club at 9 p.m. and 10:20 p.m. at Musinsa Garage in Mapo District, Seoul. The event was an opportunity to show the "I'm Him" music video to NEX2Y (fandom name: Nexty) first, and it was the first time since debut that they introduced a new album to fans before the official release, drawing enthusiastic cheers from fans. The event featured engaging Q&A and game corners and culminated with the first public performance of "I'm Him," and the second show was simultaneously broadcast on the official YouTube channel to connect with global fans.
The third mini album Beat-Boxer includes five songs in total: the title track of the same name, "I'm Him," "Legacy," "Co-Star," and "Next To Me," plus "Z Side_250823 (CD Only)," which can only be heard on the physical album. Among them, track 5, "Next To Me," was written by all the members, composed by Tomoya and Haru, with Tomoya participating in the arrangement; it conveys the musical skills they have built since debut and their sincerity toward fans, delivering emotion.
NEXZ's third mini album Beat-Boxer will be officially released at 6 p.m. on Oct. 27. Ahead of that, on Oct. 25–26 they will hold a special concert and their first solo concert in Korea, NEXZ SPECIAL CONCERT
