HYBE and Geffen Records girl group KATSEYE has placed on the main Spotify chart "Top 10" for two consecutive weeks.
According to Spotify's "Weekly Top Songs Global" (Sept. 26–Oct. 2) released on the 3rd (local time), KATSEYE's second EP BEAUTIFUL CHAOS track "Gabriela" held the same No. 10 spot as the previous week.
The song regained momentum after KATSEYE opened the preshow for the MTV Video Music Awards (2025 MTV Video Music Awards, hereinafter MTV VMA) in the United States and won the Push Performance of the Year award. It climbed from No. 28 four weeks ago to No. 16, then No. 11, finally entering the top 10, and has remained on the chart for 15 consecutive weeks to date.
"Gnarly" and "Touch" also continued their joint success by placing at No. 78 (22 weeks cumulative) and No. 142 (19 weeks cumulative), respectively, on Spotify's "Weekly Top Songs Global." All three tracks, including "Gabriela," show strong staying power. They are the archetype of long-running hits that listeners return to over time, not a short-lived flash of interest at release.
KATSEYE, which took its first steps in the United States last June through the global audition project The Debut: Dream Academy, has shown explosive growth across various popularity indicators, proving the potential success of the "K-pop methodology" led by HYBE chairman Bang Si-hyuk.
Songs from their EP BEAUTIFUL CHAOS recently surpassed 700 million cumulative streams on Spotify alone. This is the highest streaming count for a girl group single album released so far this year. Spotify monthly listeners, who were 8.19 million during the debut EP SIS (Soft Is Strong) activities, have recently grown to 32,033,989, making them the No. 1 girl group by September's tally.
KATSEYE is also achieving notable results on the world's two major pop charts, the U.K. Official Singles Top 100 and the U.S. Billboard Hot 100.
On the latest U.K. Official Singles Top 100 (Oct. 3–9) released the same day, "Gabriela" rose to No. 39, returning to the group's highest-ever position on that chart. After re-entering the chart at No. 97 following their early August Lollapalooza Chicago performance, it has climbed 20 spots and 15 spots in successive weeks, marking nine consecutive weeks of ascent.
"Gabriela" previously ranked No. 56 on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 (Oct. 4 issue), marking a total of 10 weeks on the chart. The EP BEAUTIFUL CHAOS, which debuted at No. 4 on the Billboard 200 (July 12 issue), has also continued to be well received and has remained in the upper ranks for 13 weeks, maintaining strong results.
Meanwhile, KATSEYE will embark on their first solo North American tour starting in November, scheduled for 16 shows in 13 cities. They are also confirmed to participate in next year's largest U.S. music festival, the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, held in April.
