SBS 'Would You Merry Me''s fake newlywed couple Choi Woo-sik and Jung So-min move into the contested newlywed home.
The new SBS Friday-Saturday drama Would You Merry Me (directed by Song Hyun-wook, Hwang In-hyuk / written by Lee Ha-na / produced by Studio S, Samhwa Networks), which premieres on the 10th (Fri), is a 90-day fake marriage story in which two men and women fight to win a luxury newlywed home prize, and it raises expectations as a work that will showcase strong acting synergy between reliable actor Choi Woo-sik (as Kim Woo-ju) and rom-com goddess Jung So-min (as Yu Merry).
In the story, Yu Merry (played by Jung So-min), who faces having to give up the luxury newlywed home prize, asks Kim Woo-ju (played by Choi Woo-sik), who shares the same name as her ex-fiancé, to be a fake husband, and the two become entangled as a fake married couple.
Meanwhile, stills showing the two people who moved into the "luxury newlywed home," the reason Woo-ju and Merry are posing as a married couple, have been released and draw attention. The images show Woo-ju and Merry putting on conspicuous newlywed act to avoid having their secret discovered by neighbors, creating excitement.
In the stills, Woo-ju suddenly switches to sweet fake mode. With a nonchalant expression contrasted by affectionate hair-tuck skills, helping carry heavy bags, and natural skinship, he delivers such a natural fake-husband performance that it's hard to tell if it's fake or real, drawing laughter.
