Rowoon is giving viewers a deep emotional impact with delicate emotional acting in "The Murky Stream".
Rowoon plays Jang Si-yul, the protagonist who has a past he wants to hide and steps into the world of ruffians in Disney+'s original series "The Murky Stream." Si-yul is a character who enforces order at the Mapo ferry by his own methods to live like a human being.
Rowoon, who portrays him, captures viewers' attention with increasingly deepening emotional acting each episode. In the early episodes his hollow gaze made his emotions unreadable, but as the series progressed he became like family with the Mudeok gang and gradually showed a more humane side. Especially when interacting with Jeongcheon (played by Park Seo-ham) and the Mudeok gang, with whom he lived like a brother, he sometimes used a softer tone, wore a worried expression, and sent tender looks that conveyed warmth.
On the other hand, he showed a stark temperature difference with a resolute and intense attitude toward things that were not right. In the fight with Deokgae (played by Choi Young-woo), Rowoon met Deokgae's gaze without avoidance with a determined look and confronted him forcefully. In this way, Rowoon has been praised for his wide-ranging acting ability by portraying polar opposite emotions. Attention is focused on the latter half of the story that Rowoon will lead.
Meanwhile, "The Murky Stream," which has been generating buzz since its release by entering the FlixPatrol Disney+ worldwide TV shows top 10, releases two episodes every Friday.
