'Home Alone' DAY6's Dowoon showed an unusual pride in fishing.
On the 3rd broadcast, MBC entertainment program Home Alone (hereafter "Home Alone") revealed the daily life of DAY6's drummer Dowoon.
On that day, Dowoon, who said he had lived alone for 5 to 6 years, has been living in his current home for about five months and said, "I left the interior entirely to an acquaintance. Because I go on overseas tours a lot, I didn't want it to feel like a hotel, so it's just a place where I can rest that feels like home."
Dowoon's revealed home was neatly arranged and minimal to the extreme. In the bedroom there was only a bed, and the computer room was tidy. Jun Hyun-moo said, "Wow, there's really nothing," and Park Na-rae marveled, "At this level it's like a shared lodging."
Even the refrigerator was minimal. In the empty refrigerator with not a single ingredient, Dowoon explained, "I suddenly started doing bread, and because schedules kept coming up every day, I ended up ordering food for delivery." Seeing this, Kian84 said, "It really looks like a star's refrigerator," which drew laughter.
Waking up early at dawn, Dowoon packed fishing gear at a fishing shop and went outside. He, who usually likes fishing, said, "Actually the reason I woke up early was to go fishing. I have pride in my fishing. I'm pretty good at fishing," he said confidently.
Dowoon, who showed off numerous specialized fishing items, even appeared on a fishing TV program. Park Na-rae was surprised, "That's a place where professional anglers appear," and Dowoon proudly said, "Appearing as an angler is really a pleasant thing."
Dowoon revealed his extraordinary love of fishing, saying he personally caught a 97.5cm amberjack and that he competed in fishing tournaments. He added, "I've gone fishing to Geoje, Totongyeong, Wando, and the west sea," and said he owns different rods for different fish.
Meanwhile, after arriving at Jindu pier on the west sea, Dowoon began flounder jigging. Arriving at the spot around 6 a.m., he said his goal was to catch 100 flounder. He, who often goes fishing, said he gives the seafood he catches to people around him. He even gives gifts to fans, attracting attention.
Dowoon said, "When I fish I don't think about anything. If I focus solely on fishing, it helps my mental health a lot."
Then Park Na-rae asked, "How did you start fishing?" Dowoon said, "There was a time when I was anxious. I decided I had to empty my thoughts. The members were struggling so activities were suspended and I had nothing to do. I was someone who liked DAY6's drums, so nothing I did filled me. Fishing filled me up in a very healthy way."
After a busy day from dawn, Dowoon said, "Today was fulfilling, pleasant, fun and happy. I fished very comfortably, felt good next to the reliable captain, and shared well with acquaintances."
In particular, Dowoon said, "I think my mental health is the most important. Fishing seems to have many benefits. It seems to be the strength to live on."
