The SBS variety show "My Managers Are Too Harsh - The Secretaries," which aired on the 3rd, premiered.
Lee Seo-jin and Kim Kwang-kyu became comedian Lee Su-ji's managers and followed her closely for a day. Lee Su-ji, saying "It feels like being a manager, but I'm very worried," expressed concern about their age because the two are in their 50s. Lee Seo-jin said, "What can we do? Please lead us," and Lee Su-ji laughed, saying, "I will take good care of you," and Lee Seo-jin, saying "It will end up like that," drew laughter.
Notably, Lee Su-ji transformed into the Hambugi alter ego. To film her own content, Lee Seo-jin had to handle the camera himself. Lee Su-ji even showed a threat to stop filming, saying "I don't want to do this anymore." She said, "Others are laughing," and later Lee Seo-jin realized, "Ah, this is the worldview," adding, "I was slow to understand; I didn't know what reaction to give." But threats to stop filming continued to arise.
Also, Hambuki, who vowed to reveal her home through content, was asked by Lee Seo-jin whether she owned it, and the messy persona of the Hambuki alter ego replied in rap, "What does it matter whether it's monthly rent or jeonse? My sanctuary is what matters." Lee Seo-jin mentioned Kim Kwang-kyu, saying, "There are actually people who were victims of jeonse fraud," and Lee Su-ji responded, "Me too," adding, "Looking for the fraudster," aiming at the camera and drawing attention.
In reality, Lee Su-ji had said she suffered 400 million won in damages from a 2023 presale fraud, saying, "I gave money to the developer's representative, but it was someone without authority."
On one broadcast she said, "It was very painful. I still cry when I recall it," and added, "I will never buy a house until I die. I will never be defrauded again. I will go with jeonse."
"The Secretaries" departs from the conventional talk show format and is a real road-show style variety program that spends a star's day with them to reveal their bare face and inner thoughts. Lee Seo-jin and Kim Kwang-kyu will act as managers, closely engaging with guests' daily lives to deliver laughter and emotion.
