A mother-daughter two-shot of Oh Na-ra and Kim Si-eun from tvN's 'Hwaja's Scarlet' looking like carbon copies was captured.
tvN 'Hwaja's Scarlet' (directed by Yoo Si-yeon/written by Kang Seul/planned by Studio Dragon/produced by Blitzway Production) released today (3rd, Fri) a scene of Oh Hwaja (played by Oh Na-ra) and Scarlet (played by Kim Si-eun) enjoying a sweet mother-daughter date ahead of the main broadcast, drawing attention.
'Hwaja's Scarlet' tells the story of Hwaja's daughter, who had to be sent to the United States for adoption right after birth, returning one day as blonde Scarlet. Oh Na-ra plays 'Oh Hwaja,' who has been running a noodle shop in the market for 10 years and longs for her daughter. Hwaja longs for and desperately waits for her daughter, Jin-ah, whom she sent to the United States for adoption immediately after birth without even holding her once. Kim Si-eun plays a character who was born without a name and named herself 'Scarlet.' Having had no paradise anywhere, Scarlet seeks out Hwaja to find a mother who will love her, raising curiosity about how their mother-daughter reunion will be portrayed.
In the released stills, Hwaja and Scarlet are spending a cozy time alone together in a park where bright yellow wildflowers are in full bloom, capturing attention. The two lean their faces close together and make a V sign with their fingers for a selfie; their charming presence is more delightful than the fluttering flower buds.
Especially as if the moment they spend together is precious, Hwaja and Scarlet seem to see only each other. Hwaja smiles gently at Scarlet, who rests her head lightly on her shoulder, showcasing unmistakable mother-daughter chemistry. Their expressions, soaked in happiness as if all the pain of being apart has been forgotten, tug at the viewers' hearts.
Questions grow as to whether Hwaja and Scarlet, who have longed for each other for so long, will be able to find true happiness. Furthermore, attention is focused on what kind of mother-daughter story the two will write going forward.
Broadcast today (3rd, Fri) at 11 p.m.
