JYP Entertainment (hereinafter JYP) boy group NEXZ is making a surprise comeback with the new title track "Beat-Boxer". JYP on the 2nd afternoon released the online cover, timetable and track list for NEXZ (Tomoya, Yuu, Haru, Soken, Seita, Huey, Yuki)'s third mini album "Beat-Boxer" on its official social media channels.
According to the track list, the new release includes a total of five songs led by the title track "Beat-Boxer": "Legacy", "I'm Him", "Co-Star" and "Next To Me", plus "Z Side_250823 (CD Only)", which can only be heard on the physical album. Track 5, "Next To Me," draws attention because the NEXZ members directly participated in the songwriting. All seven members are credited with lyrics; Tomoya and Haru are credited with composition, and leader Tomoya also earned an arrangement credit, demonstrating his musical capabilities.
The title track and No. 2 track "Beat-Boxer," a title created by combining the English words "beat" and "boxer," expresses NEXZ's confidence to smash the beat on stage with overwhelming energy. Prominent global songwriters Ronny Svendsen, Anne Judith Wik, Nermin Harambasic, WUTAN and Leslie contributed to the project. The released timetable teases a feast of diverse teaser content that heightens comeback expectations. Notably, a mysterious lip drawing next to the video to be released on the 10th stirs curiosity.
Poised to dominate the fall 2025 pop scene, NEXZ showed hot presence with an online cover that expressed fiery passion and swagger. Ahead of releasing their new work "Beat-Boxer" and the title track of the same name on Oct. 27, roughly six months later, they opened the promotion website "Beat-cha Got-cha" at 11 p.m. on the 2nd. Today (the 3rd) at 9 p.m. they will hold an offline event, "Beat Breakers Club," at Musinsa Garage in Mapo-gu, Seoul, and at 10:20 p.m. they will simulcast on NEXZ's official YouTube channel to deliver the venue's energy live.
