Kim Jong-kook showed that his passion for soccer has not cooled even after marriage.
On the 2nd, a video titled "Next is GYM Jong-kook Classic…?" was posted on the YouTube channel 'Kim Jong-kook.' The released video showed Kim Jong-kook visiting a bodybuilding competition and cheering on the athletes.
That day Kim Jong-kook said, "I'm going to show you how a domestic bodybuilding competition is conducted on site," and said, "It's my first time sponsoring a bodybuilding competition domestically, and it's also the first time my company has gone as the main sponsor for an event like this. Many subscribers love bodybuilding and cheer for it, so I went," noting that the company he represents participated as the main sponsor.
Meeting people at the venue, Kim Jong-kook responded to the greeting "You seem to have lost some weight" by saying, "I haven't been able to play soccer for a while these days. Now that I'm married, soccer…" and stopped speaking, drawing laughter.
Kim Jong-kook also lamented, "Probably the main match, I have to go play soccer. I'm sorry. For me, really, I can't live like this," expressing regret.
He said, "Last week, soccer was even canceled because of me," and added, "I happened to go on a trip. When you return you have to make formal greetings (to relatives). Because those overlapped, that happened. Normally you can do it a little earlier," revealing his eagerness for soccer.
Meanwhile, Kim Jong-kook married a non-celebrity woman on Sept. 5 and drew attention by keeping everything from the guests to the venue and schedule strictly secret.
