Broadcaster Kim Na-young announced her marriage to singer and painter MyQ after four years of public dating, and warm moments shared with her two sons were revealed, drawing major attention.
Kim Na-young personally announced the marriage news on her YouTube channel on the 1st. In the video, she cautiously announced the marriage news to her two sons, saying, "We kept practicing becoming a family with uncle. If we really become a family, I think we can be happier."
Taken by surprise, the children innocently asked, "Then will you have a new baby?" which elicited laughter, and soon after they happily congratulated their mother on the marriage, saying, "That's good." The children added honest reactions like "I'm a little nervous, it's amazing," and they heightened the emotion by embracing MyQ warmly in his arms. MyQ also responded, "Thank you for accepting uncle," which moved viewers.
Kim Na-young said, "It's been quite a while since I was proposed to, but I delayed the decision because of fear. However, the love, trust and devotion MyQ showed to me and the children moved my heart," explaining why she decided to marry. She added, "The wedding will be a very small event with only close family and relatives attending. We haven't told many people, but I would appreciate your generous understanding."
In particular, Kim Na-young attracted attention as a "financially savvy person" and "owner of a 9.9 billion won building" after purchasing a building in Gangnam's Yeoksam-dong for 9.9 billion won in 2022 and acquiring a luxury officetel in Hannam-dong earlier this year for about 2.9 billion won. However, contrary to her flashy asset scale, it became known that the wedding would be modest, once again drawing attention for its "unexpected charm."
Internet users sent congratulatory messages such as, "I thought it would be a flashy wedding, but it's more moving because it's modest," "The way they are truly becoming a family with the children is heartwarming," and "I hope they live happily for a long time."
Meanwhile, Kim Na-young debuted as a reporter in 2005 and became known through variety shows such as Hello? (Nollawo) and Seba-kwi; after her 2019 divorce she raised her two sons alone. Since 2021 she has publicly dated MyQ and consistently shown affection.
