On 'Save Me! Homes' Sam Hammington answered honestly about his children's identities.
On the Feb. 2 broadcast of the MBC variety show 'Save Me! Homes', broadcaster Sam Hammington appeared as a guest and revealed his child-rearing methods and recent news.
The cast called Sam Hammington "a parenting success" and asked for his parenting secrets, and he answered, "I disciplined them in English to fit Korean manners," showing how he actually guides the children in English and drawing attention.
When Yang Se-hyung asked, "Are the kids closer in inclination to Korea or Australia?", Sam Hammington said, "William and Bentley are completely different. Bentley must always have rice and kimchi. His palate is Korean, but if you ask him, 'Where are you from?', he answers, 'Australia,'" prompting laughter. Viewers watching at home, the online aunts and uncles, reacted with a mix of disappointment and delight, saying, "They're still babies, so as Hammington said, their identity seems to change day by day."
He also mentioned the house they recently moved to. Interest focused on the fact that they moved to a three-story detached house reported to have a sale price of about 2.4 billion won. He said, "We moved to a detached house because of noise between floors. It's nice not to have to tell the kids 'don't run.'"
This episode was the third 'campus visit' special following Seoul National University and KAIST, featuring a head-to-head between Yonsei University and Korea University. Park Na-rae introduced it, saying, "Since the first match in 1927 and the traditional sports rivalry continued from 1965, the annual Yonsei-Korea University match, celebrating its 60th year this year, is being commemorated with a campus visit showdown between the two schools."
Yang Se-hyung and Yang Se-chan brothers were joined by Sam Hammington for the campus visit. He shared his debut story, saying, "I went to see a performance at Ongdalsaem in Daehangno and was spotted by the 'Gag Concert' production team, which started my broadcasting career," and added with a laugh, "Actually, I appeared on the first episode of 'Surprise' in 2002. I'm senior to Jang Dong-min, who debuted in 2004."
Representing Yonsei University, Yang Se-chan joked that he was "from Severance," and representing Korea University, Yang Se-hyung showed confidence, saying, "There are many famous restaurants around Korea University in Anam-dong." Sam Hammington added weight to the campus visit showdown by saying, "I studied at Korea University's language institute, but I now live in Yeonhui-dong, so I know both schools well."
