A witty APEC promotional video is drawing attention day after day.
The promotional video for the "2025 Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) leaders' summit," released on the 2nd, featured a full lineup of Korea's representative stars, including G-Dragon and Jang Wonyoung, as well as director Park Chan-wook, player Park Ji-sung, DJ Peggy Gou, and chef Anh Sung-jae.
The direction was handled by director Shin Woo-seok (Dolphiners Film), who has been noted for original storytelling, adding a pleasant development.
The video begins with a scene in a restaurant with a hanok exterior where K-culture stars appear as cameos. Then G-Dragon, dressed as a pilot, appears saying "Welcome to APEC," but soon Jang Wonyoung, wearing hanbok, fires a blunt line, "2025, please move your car!", turning the scene into a sea of laughter.
In the end, G-Dragon took charge of the aircraft, and President Lee Jae-myung appeared in an air traffic guide uniform waving a light baton. The president's appearance, in the concept of a "parking attendant" organizing planes from various countries, delivered unexpected fun and decorated the video's climax.
Fans responded with explosive interest, saying, "G-Dragon brings it, Wonyoung takes it away, the president organizes it," and "This is K-APEC class."
In particular, it was revealed that all the cast members who appeared in the video participated with no guarantee, which also became a hot topic. G-Dragon returned home immediately after his New York performance, finished shooting and then set off for Las Vegas in a grueling schedule, and director Park Chan-wook also squeezed in participation between overseas film promotion schedules. Jang Wonyoung, Park Ji-sung, chef Anh Sung-jae, and DJ Peggy Gou also reportedly took part willingly despite tight schedules.
