Attorney Go Sang-rok, legal representative for actor Kim Soo-hyun, once again clarified the core position regarding the "minor dating suspicion."
In explanatory materials he released on his channel on the 2nd, Attorney Go emphasized, "The essence of this matter is evidence fabrication." He pointed out that the other party staged photos of Kim Soo-hyun dating during his adult years as if they were evidence of dating during his minor years, and that the KakaoTalk conversations were sent by a third party, not Kim Soo-hyun.
He said, "In the end, there are only two things they present as materials from the deceased's minor years," and listed ▲ a single letter sent during military service in 2018 ▲ a video of a meal during military leave.
Attorney Go presented about 150 handwritten letters the actor allegedly sent only to his lover throughout his military service as evidence. He explained that the letters are filled with "gratitude, apologies and affection toward the lover, and records of looking forward to small dates to meet during leave," and that this shows there was no room in the actor's heart for anyone else at the time.
By contrast, there was only a single letter sent to the deceased, and aside from the expression "I miss you," it contained no affectionate descriptions or specific promises, amounting only to a typical acquaintance letter sharing military life and plans after discharge, he emphasized.
He also explained that the deceased visited Kim Soo-hyun's home for one day at the time, but that home was a space where the agency head and the actor's brother lived together, and since there is no prior mention of it in the actor's letters, it was a natural meeting. He said, "The relationship between the deceased and the actor was merely routine interaction between fellow entertainers, and there was no romantic interest or special feeling at all. There is not a single piece of evidence that can refute this."
Attorney Go expressed regret that some media outlets failed to properly grasp the position, and said in a strong tone, "I will keep feeding this to you without getting tired. This is a task that aligns with my conviction and justice."
Finally, he said, "This decision to go public is to make the public clearly understand the fact that the actor was fully devoted only to his lover at the time," and added, "I will continue to do my duty to set the truth right."
