Former footballer Lee Cheon-su and his wife, former model Shim Ha-eun, spoke out directly about the divorce rumors and emphasized that they are baseless.
On the 2nd, a video titled "I can't stand it anymore" was posted on the YouTube channel "Ri Chunsu." Shim Ha-eun also appeared in the video, drawing attention. When the production team mentioned the recently spreading divorce rumors, Lee Cheon-su said, "Ha-eun sent it to me. I was surprised too," and Shim Ha-eun said, "It came out not as a mutual divorce or a negotiated divorce but like a one-sided divorce announcement from Lee Cheon-su's side. I felt really bad, and when I called, he didn't answer. I thought he must have done something," she revealed. At the time, Lee Cheon-su was busy and couldn't answer the phone.
Shim Ha-eun said the rumors caused misunderstandings from other parents and said, "Joo-eun's (first daughter) school parent contacted me saying, 'Sister (crying emoji).' I had to directly explain that it was 'fake news.'" Lee Cheon-su explained the severity by saying, "Because we appear a lot on broadcasts and our marital fights come out, the fake news is severe." Shim Ha-eun emphasized, "There are lots of unverified reports like 'we have a building' or 'there's an article.' It's really not true."
Lee Cheon-su hinted at possible legal action, saying, "We have evidence of all the fake news and malicious comments so far." Shim Ha-eun added, "It's stored on my phone under the title 'criminal complaint.' We also track secondary accounts. But if we catch them, I'm afraid they might be someone we know."
Shim Ha-eun said, "After I married my husband, I was criticized and received attention for the first time in my life. Even when I did good things, I was criticized. Now that the children are growing and I'm a parent at school, I worry about even the smallest things."
Lee Cheon-su said, "We are actually living very happily. The children are growing well," and added, "It's not outrageous fake news but just fabricated stories," delivering a sharp response. He went on to say, "Once the kids are grown someday, I plan to move down to Goheung with my wife and live quietly," showing affection for his wife.
Shim Ha-eun also emphasized, "I have a husband who tells me I'm pretty, and we are doing well, so I hope they stop making fake news. I wish everyone happiness."
Lee Cheon-su and Shim Ha-eun married in 2012 and have a daughter, Joo-eun, and twins Taegang and Juyul. They have communicated with the public by openly sharing their honest married life through broadcasts and YouTube.
