Bang Chan of the group Stray Kids marked his birthday by donating a total of 2 billion won to a hospital and UNICEF.
On the 3rd, JYP Entertainment said Bang Chan marked his birthday that day by donating 1 billion won each to Samsung Medical Center in Seoul and the Korean Committee for UNICEF, for a total of 2 billion won.
The donations will be used to support treatment costs for pediatric and adolescent patients at Samsung Medical Center in Seoul and to fund UNICEF programs for children in health, nutrition, water and sanitation, education, protection, and emergency relief.
With this donation, Bang Chan was also said to have been listed in the UNICEF Honors Club, a group of major donors to UNICEF.
Bang Chan said, "Thanks to the precious love sent by fans, I was able to share a warm heart," and added, "I hope it becomes a small source of strength for children to draw brighter dreams and tomorrows."
Meanwhile, on his birthday last year, Bang Chan also donated 1 billion won to the Community Chest of Korea, and was appointed as a member of the Honor Society, the Community Chest's high-value donor group.
